JADE DOSCOW Artist Lecture

Most people think they are professional photographers just because they take appealing photos for their social media accounts. However, photographers put more thought into it. 

Photographer Jade Doscow has gotten her masters in art and travels all over the world to create art. She enjoys photographing architecture and  

Listening to Doscow talk about her work made me appreciate photographers more. She doesn't just click the shutter button to "snap a picture". It takes her up to 30 minutes to set up the camera and the subject to make the photo she wants. Sometimes, after she sets it up the lighting is no longer there and she didn't accomplish anything. Doscow uses film cameras which I find so intriguing because most people would want to use a tool that is more advanced. 

Something that stood out to be during the lecture was that she talked about her work and said "make a picture". Most people just take a picture but she creates them by altering the camera and subject.
